MC Pan is a Shamanic Artist working his Chaos Magick through several creative mediums. He is also the founder of Apocalyptic Rhymes Records, the company through which he publishes all of his work. What makes the art Shamanic, is that through the use of storytelling, symbolism, and music, Pan takes the reader, listener, or viewer on a journey of self-transformation. Pan’s art has been described as transgressive; utilizing techniques of violating people’s accepted norms, morals, and social conditioning, often covering subjects considered to be taboo. This is meant to shock the audience into seeing the world from a different perspective, so as to expand consciousness. Exploring the extremes—the heights of transcendent cosmic consciousness and the depths of the darkness of human experience—Pan takes his audience on a wild ride that they won’t soon forget.

CORE CONTENT & BODY OF WORK

Music & Performance: MC Pan began writing raps at thirteen after hearing The Eminem Show for the first time and falling in the love with the poetic way that rap can express anger. His roots are in horrorcore lyrical and conscious rap styles, influenced heavily by old-school Three Six Mafia, Tech N9ne, Immortal Technique, Sage Francis, K-RINO, and Eminem. In the realm of poetry he was deeply influenced by the work of Saul Williams. Other influences include Rock figures such as Marilyn Manson, and literary figures such as Clive Barker. After beginning to seriously write and record rap records, MC Pan has recorded and released almost thirty albums to date. Still staying true to his horrorcore roots, he weaves horror elements in with fantasy, New Age spirituality, esoteric lore, Tantra and sexuality, along with a plethora of imagery and techniques from Chaos Magick. Hence creating a unique Hip Hop style termed Chao-Core.

Literature: MC Pan has published nine books to date under the spiritual name Avtar Simrit; two volumes of poetry, two volumes of lyrics, two collections of short fiction, and three novels. His books also serve as Shamanic experiences and at times deep, challenging Shadow Work. All of his writing mixes the genres of Fantasy, Science Fiction, Horror, and Erotica, creating a unique blend which is the singular expression of Avtar Simrit. MC Pan’s music and Avtar Simrit’s books serve as a mirror for the reader or listener to dive deeper into themselves if they are a brave psychonaut and won’t shy away from the pits of existential terror or the heights of celestial ecstasy.

Film: MC Pan/Avtar Simrit is most comfortable writing, directing, and acting in his own material. He has a very specific vision which only he can express. Sometimes dark, sometimes transcendently blissful and full of grace, and at times relentlessly sexy, he weaves together the whole of existence and experience into one cohesive tapestry—one tapestry built from the multiplicity of Chaos. In his films and video content, he strives to express this visually along with music and creative storytelling.
